Why?
I don't think I need to justify, why studying in UK is beneficial.
You can check that out on my other posts, but anyways, with over a thousand
years of experience in education and knowledge, few would argue, not to go to
the UK for higher education.
If you aren't still satisfied, some reasons maybe:
Worldwide Recognition, Education cost are lower than most other countries, Multicultural environment,
calm, cool and wet climate (A heaven if you are from Dubai), an excellent opportunity
to learn English from the founders themselves, only 3 years of undergrad for
most degrees, 1 year stay for work experience (2 years if it’s a Scottish university)
and a gateway to Europe.

Where?
The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland; That's the actual full name , but we will stick to the UK. United kingdom consists of four countries; viz England, wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.
The UK is world's seventh largest economy. World' first industrialized nation and was the foremost power during the 19th to 20th century period. The UK remains a great power with leading economic, cultural, military, scientific and political influence.
The UK is a permanent member of the United Nations Security Council and also a member of the European union. It is also a member of the Commonwealth of Nations, the Council of Europe, the G7, the G8, the G20, NATO, the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) and the World Trade Organization.
The terms United kingdom, England, Great Britain confuse many people, so here's a excellent video from YouTube explaining the concept of UK

The benefits are many, but I don't agree with the education costs. Yes if you went there a year or two earlier for a gap year, and then went to study, then the government considers giving you student loans, but even then it is hard coming in as a student straight away.
ReplyDeleteI would say consider gap years. It's actually not that bad, and it gives you benefits cause you end up staying in the country a bit longer, long enough for cheaper student loans, and gets you closer for citizenship benefits too.
Education costs as in compared to the US are cheaper. Tuition Fees for most universities in US range around the 30000$ for international students, while in the UK they range around 13000 pounds,
DeleteBTW as Indian citizens we do get a 20 lakh loan from SBI, but that only covers a year of tution fees.
I didn't know that about the gap year - student loan concept, but again, living costs in UK are extremely high ( 190 pounds approx per week ) so, living there for a year before college wouldn't seem viable, and I think Gap years aren't necessary.Though gap years have their benefits , I think you should apply to university straight out of school.
